Shambhala Communication Skills:
Articulate Self Expression
Knowing how to create a joyful, high Integrity life means knowing how to express yourself. Knowing how to express yourself means that you must be a student of your own needs and feelings. Your can not hope to make yourself understood and/or get your needs met if you do not know what your needs are and what you are feeling.
Most people know neither. You can learn more about how to study yourself and how to discover what your real needs are through the Shambhala Life-Skills. Here you will begin to learn how to discover your real feelings and how to effectively express your needs and your feelings to others.
WHAT ARE YOU FEELING?
If you are like most people, you don't know what you are feeling. Not because you are out of touch with your feelings, but because you are "in touch" with so many mixed feelings that blend together in a kind of emotional mud. Your feelings become difficult to separate and consequently impossible to describe.
So, you must become a dedicated student in regard to your own feelings so that you can distinguish one from another and be able to speak to all your conflicting feelings. You are not a simpleton. You are a complex person capable of feeling many different ways about the same one thing at the same time. If you can not sort out your feelings, then you can not speak to those feelings … and you will not be able to express yourself. If you can not articulately express yourself, then you can not hope to have your needs met and create your life joyfully.
